Another goofy meme

Yeah, pretty accurate.

Your Personality Is Like Acid

A bit wacky, you’re very difficult to predict.
One moment you’re in your own little happy universe…
And the next, you’re on a bad trip to your own personal hell!

Result make Hulk want to SMASH!

Ok, so I succumbed and took the superhero personality quiz. I don’t really like the results, but first of all I have to figure out how I got here and why I’m wearing only ragged shorts.

Quote meme

Apostropher has joined in a “true quote meme”:http://www.apostropher.com/blog/archives/002548.html. Here are my contributions:

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” — Mohandas Gandhi

“For those who seek liberation wholeheartedly, realization is near.” — Patañjali (trans. Chip Hartranft)

Not sure what I think of this interpretation of my “World View”

Ok, so I took another goofy internet quiz. Here’s what I came up with:

You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

What is Your World View?

WTF is a “cultural creative”? Me, I guess. This really makes me sound like I’m one of a few recent spiritual pioneers that dares move away from religion while still being deeply spiritual, though it’s my guess that the number of people doing that are large and growing larger. At any rate, according to the “Belief-o-matic”:http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html my beliefs align 100% with “Mahayana Buddhism”:http://www.beliefnet.com/story/80/story_8045_1.html. Well, I wouldn’t paint myself into a corner saying that I align 100% with any particular tradition, my beliefs draw heavily from that tradition.

Maybe I’m just finding a culturally creative way to live a Buddhist lifestyle. Or, maybe I just didn’t learn anything at all.

I’m not really sure what this means

So, I took a test, and here are the results (with some ads, because I don’t have time to inspect and edit the HTML):

Tourist
You scored 35 Patriotic, 14 Lazy, 9 Power Hungry, and 94 General Knowledge!
Congrats!
You know a lot about America, without actually possessing the personal
stereotypical American characteristics. Perhaps you are an American who
simply doesn’t act as lazy and power hungry as most of the others. Or
perhaps you googled a few questions to get some answers..or maybe you
just paid attention in class?

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 53% on Patriotic
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 20% on Lazy

Quick things

Well, after a delightful trip to UNC’s ever-confusing ER Wed. night, I got a diagnosis: pneumonia. What a way to spend a short workweek, laid up in bed writing half-coherent blog posts while forcing myself to breathe deeply despite how hard it is and forcing fluids, yeah, I was going somewhere with this.

So, in the midst of the 103 fever, chills, and general inability to get around by myself, the Apostropher “tagged”:http://www.apostropher.com/blog/archives/002914.html me for the “7 × 7” meme. I’ll humor him, even though his blog software think’s I’m a bloody spammer worthy of ebola.

So here goes. (Below the fold.)
