Political ads: the importance of citing your sources

The reality of election season is that our airwaves are polluted with political ads. One such ad was by a congressional challenger named Vernon Robinson. The ad basically consisted of a picture of his opponent, Brad Miller, and a big “0.” The ad then went on to talk about how he was rated a “0” by all these organizations, which were flashed along the bottom of the screen. As it turns out, several of these organizations have come out in favor of extreme positions on several political issues, most of which I strongly disagree with.

The effect of the ad on me was that I wished I could vote for Brad Miller.
