Urdhva dhanurasana from standing


I recently wrote about my “secret weapon for improving backbends”:http://www.randomjohn.info/wordpress/2006/02/07/standing-backbends-at-the-wall/. Well, I managed to use it to drop into urdhva dhanurasana from standing. That is not easy, even with a wall as a prop. In about 5 years, perhaps I won’t need the wall.

At any rate, I’m looking forward to much better spinal flexibility. About those forward bends …
